Mission Statement
Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of Racine County was established on October 1, 1988, with the mission “to provide training and improve employment opportunities for economically disadvantaged, unemployed, and underemployed persons; and to assure that such training and other services lead to better health, maximum employment opportunities, and economic self-sufficiency regardless of their color, race, sex, religion, national origin, political affiliation, or beliefs.”

OIC is an international network of education, training programs, and social services providers bound together by a common commitment. OIC assists at-risk students and economically disadvantaged to become self-sufficient, productive, and healthy citizens. Each OIC affiliate represents its respective community and strives to meet the needs of local residents.

Our motto in Racine is “Strengthening The Health of Our Community and Its Economy Through Education and Training.”
